And finally after more than two years of development, testing, trials and tribulations, just as with the Z-CAR, it was Laguna Seca where we scored our first race finish. More than that a first in class finish, even if we were the only car in our class that's unimportant, we were delighted.
It was back to Willcox in the following spring with another English driver, flying in all the way from the UK to join us, my good friend James Levy. Despite a few hiccoughs, or puke ups, the car ran like clockwork and we brought it home over the finish line once again.
James loved it so much he returned in the winter for another race at Sonoma. We were also joined by another new driver, Rod Sheehan who proved as rock steady as the car. The race was not without incident, with a few small failures of throttle couplings, exhaust headers, broken steering wheel - all of which were repaired and racing continued. Another chequered flag.
